Where the Volusia County Branch Jail Is

The Volusia County Branch Jail is at 1300 Red John Drive in Daytona Beach. The main number is (386) 254-1555, and the booking office is open 24 hours a day. For booking numbers by phone, call (386) 254-1540.

Women are held at the Volusia County Correctional Facility, 1354 N. Indian Lake Road, (386) 254-1565, and are released from there.

Step 2: Check Whether Bail Has Been Set

Since January 1, 2026, Volusia County uses Florida’s Uniform Statewide Bond Schedule, adopted by the Seventh Judicial Circuit. When a charge has a scheduled amount, the bond can be posted before first appearance.

First appearance happens within one day of booking, in the courtroom at the Branch Jail: 1:30 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays. The judge can change the bond there, and anyone may attend.

    Step 3: Post the Bond

Anyone can come to the Branch Jail and post bond in cash, or go through a licensed bail bond agent. With an agent, you pay the premium Florida sets, 10% of the bond with a $100 minimum per bond, and the agent posts the full amount.

How We Post a Volusia County Bond

    1. Call (407) 321-2663 any time, day or night.
    2. We confirm the booking, the charges and the bond amount.
    3. A cosigner signs the bond paperwork by phone with e-signature.
    4. You pay the premium, or we set up a payment plan for qualified clients.
    5. We post the bond at the Branch Jail.

Step 4: Release and the Overnight Rule

Volusia County says release takes about 2 to 4 hours once the jail starts the paperwork. If the person was released at a court hearing, their paperwork waits until court is finished for the day.

The jail does not release anyone between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. unless a responsible person is there to pick them up and checks in with jail staff. If a bond goes in late at night, plan to be at the jail or expect release in the morning. Release updates show on the screens in the jail lobby.

    Watch Out for Bond Scams

Volusia County Corrections says no one from the jail will ever call to ask for a bond. If someone calls asking for money to release your loved one, hang up and call the jail at (386) 254-1555.

    While They Are Inside
